Set Up Enom Email in a Mail Client

These settings let you access Enom basic email services (webmail) through a third-party email client such as Outlook or Mac Mail, or a mobile device such as an iPhone or Android. This article provides the IMAP and POP server settings, along with the secure servers that support SSL.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to the webmail portal with your email address and password to confirm your password is correct. If the password is incorrect, set it in the Email Manager.
  • If you have trouble sending or receiving email, confirm that the MX records are set up correctly.

IMAP settings

Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) allows access to email on a shared server from multiple devices and locations. Enom recommends setting up webmail with IMAP, because IMAP keeps the data on the server and synchronizes any changes to all clients. Use SSL for better login security.

Server hostnamePort
Incoming (IMAP)mail.enom.comSSL: 993 Non-SSL: 143
Outgoing (SMTP)mail.enom.comSSL: 465 Non-SSL: 25 or 587
Usernamename@example.com
PasswordYour email password

Note: For Apple iOS, enter your email and password for the outbound SMTP server. The device may say this is an optional configuration, but if you do not complete it, you cannot send email.

POP settings

Post Office Protocol (POP) was originally designed to access webmail by downloading your emails off a mail server. The mail is stored locally on the specific device and client used to access webmail, and messages downloaded through POP cannot be accessed from any other device or mail client. POP mail is still supported, but IMAP is the preferred method of setting up webmail.

Server hostnamePort
Incoming (POP)mail.enom.comSSL: 995 Non-SSL: 110
Outgoing (SMTP)mail.enom.comSSL: 465 Non-SSL: 25 or 587
Usernamename@example.com

Server hostnames and SSL

For mail servers, you can also use imap.yourdomain.com or pop.yourdomain.com. However, SSL is not available via these servers.

To enable SSL, use any of the following servers:

  • mail.enom.com
  • mail.hostedemail.com
  • mail.bulkregister.com
  • mail.enomcentral.com
  • mail.name-services.com
