Sometimes you need to update or change your email password. You do not need to know the existing password to follow this process. If you do not have access to the Enom or EnomCentral account to change the email password, you can change it through Webmail instead. This article covers the password requirements and how to update your password from your account or from Webmail.
Password requirements
Your password must meet the following requirements:
- Be 10 to 20 characters long with no spaces.
- Contain at least one uppercase letter, one number, and one of the following special characters: * @ - _ / .
- Differ from the password used for any other Enom-related service, such as webmail.
Note: If you still have trouble recovering your login ID or resetting your password, contact Enom Customer Support. Include a domain name to help locate your account more quickly.
Step 1: Choose where to update your password
You can update your email password from your Enom account or from Webmail. Use the section that matches where you have access.
Update in your account
- Sign in to your account.
- Select Email & Apps followed by Basic email, then Manage.
- Select the domain name.
- Click Update.
- Enter the new password and click Save all.
Update through Webmail
- Log in to Webmail.
- Go to Settings and select Password.
- Select Change password.
- Enter your current password and the new password, then confirm your new password. Click Save.
How password security works
Every password is encrypted for protection, cross-referenced with the requirements in an encrypted format, and given a value that identifies the password as strong or weak. Enom regularly updates its security methods to safeguard accounts against unauthorized access.
Warning: If your email service is suspended, you have not reset your password within 30 days. You continue to receive mail through your webmail or mail client and can use other features, but you cannot send mail until your password is updated.
