Report Domain Abuse to Enom

Enom has a zero-tolerance policy for DNS abuse and a dedicated Compliance team that investigates abuse reports. This article explains what domain abuse is and how to report it for a domain registered with Enom.

About domain abuse and Enom's Compliance team

DNS abuse covers harmful activity tied to a domain, such as spam, malware distribution, phishing, and other malicious use of domains or DNS services. Enom monitors its systems for misuse and takes action against domains registered with or hosted by Enom when abuse is found.

Enom's Compliance team investigates every report it receives. Please keep the following in mind when you report:

  • Enom will only contact you if it needs more information.
  • Your report is evaluated on its merits and acted on where appropriate.
  • If the domain was registered through a partner (reseller), Enom may contact that reseller about the report.
  • Enom reserves the right to use your notice to substantiate the abuse to the domain registrant.
  • You may not receive a reply or status update unless additional information is needed.

Step 1: Report abuse

  1. Go to Enom's abuse reporting page at enom.com/help/abusepolicy.aspx.
  2. Complete the Report Abuse form with the required details (see the note below).
  3. Submit the form. You may also report abuse by email to abuse@enom.com.

What to include, and what to expect. Provide your email address, the domain name involved in the abuse, and a clear description of your complaint with any relevant evidence — for example, the complete text and headers of an email, or a screenshot. The more complete your evidence, the faster the team can investigate. As noted above, you may not receive a direct reply unless more information is needed.

Enom is part of Tucows. Depending on the type of abuse, reports may also be handled through Tucows' abuse channels.
