Enom's hosted email service applies built-in spam filtering to every mailbox. While the core spam settings are static and managed for you, you can fine-tune what reaches the inbox by adding advanced allow and block sender filters. This article explains how those filters work and how to add entries to each list.
How spam filtering and sender filters work together
Enom's email platform protects your mailboxes with robust, multi-language spam filtering that guards against phishing and viruses. These spam settings are static and cannot be changed. On top of that protection, you can apply advanced filters, including allowed and blocked sender lists, to control delivery for specific addresses or domains.
- An allowed sender (allow list) ensures messages from a trusted address or domain are delivered even if the spam filter might otherwise flag them.
- A blocked sender (block list) prevents messages from a specific address or domain from reaching the inbox.
Step 1: Add an allowed sender
- Sign in to your email.
- Open the allow list (allowed senders) settings.
- Enter the full email address (for example, name@example.com) or domain you want to always allow.
- Save your changes.
Step 2: Add a blocked sender
- From the same filter settings area, open the block list (blocked senders) settings.
- Enter the full email address or domain you want to block.
- Save your changes.
Precedence and limits. If the same address appears on both lists, the lists may behave differently depending on configuration.
