.LATINO is a generic Top-Level Domain (gTLD) operated by Dish DBS Corporation and administered by Tucows Registry.

The purpose of the .LATINO gTLD is to serve the global Latino community by providing a dedicated digital identity for individuals, businesses, and organizations connected to Latino culture, heritage, and language.

.LATINO is:

  • Built for the global Latino community worldwide
  • Designed to represent Latino identity, culture, and heritage online
  • Open to businesses, creators, and organizations targeting Latino audiences
  • A culturally meaningful and recognizable namespace for branding and visibility
  • Designed with modern security standards (e.g., HTTPS support by default)

Eligibility / Nexus Criteria

The .LATINO domain is intended for individuals and entities connected to Latino culture and identity.

Registration is unrestricted and open globally, including (but not limited to):

  • Individuals identifying with Latino heritage or community
  • Businesses targeting Latino audiences
  • Creators, influencers, and media platforms
  • Cultural, social, and community organizations
  • Brands and services serving Spanish-, Portuguese-, or multilingual audiences

No local presence requirements apply.

Registration Terms and Conditions

As part of the registration process, registrants must agree to the applicable terms and conditions.

Resellers are required to obtain explicit registrant consent during the registration flow. As a Registered Name Holder, the registrant must:

  • Enter into an electronic or paper registration agreement 
  • Acknowledge and agree to comply with all applicable registry policies
  • Act responsibly and refrain from engaging in any activity that violates these policies

This requirement is incorporated into the Registry-Registrar Agreement (RRA) and must be accepted at the time of registration.

Monitoring, Audits, and Compliance

The Registry operates under ICANN policies and may enforce compliance through:

  • Trademark Clearinghouse (TMCH) validation during Sunrise
  • Trademark Claims notices during early General Availability
  • Standard dispute resolution mechanisms (e.g., UDRP/URS)

Failure to comply with registry policies or legal requirements may result in suspension or cancellation of the domain.

.LATINO supports IDNs, enabling domain registrations in multiple languages and scripts. Mixed-script labels are prohibited
