Managing sub-accounts

A feature of being our reseller is creating sub-accounts for your customers within our system. This provides your customers with direct domain management and access to our platform. There is a default retail pricing that you can modify and manage.

Managing sub-accounts

Enom offers resellers the tools to manage their sub-accounts. Resellers can send log info, sign into the sub-account, and delete sub-accounts.

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select Resellers, followed by Manage, then Sub-accounts.
Note: You can also manage this through Reseller quick links.

Three options allow resellers to manage sub-accounts.

EmailThis option prepares an email app for sending to this user.
Log-inLogs the reseller directly into the sub-account.
DeleteDeletes the sub-account, you will be prompted to confirm.

Modifying retail pricing for sub-accounts

When Enom increases the reseller price for a specific TLD, we leave the management of these changes to you. To maintain your margin, change the pricing for your sub-reseller's accounts.

We have a safeguard in place for cases where a price increase would result in your sub-resellers price being lower than yours. We will automatically raise your sub-reseller price to $0.01 more than yours.

You can edit sub-account pricing for all sub-accounts within your account in bulk and individual accounts.

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select Resellers, followed by Manage, then Sub-accounts.
Note: You can also manage this through Reseller quick links.
  3. You can modify pricing for all accounts or individual accounts from the sub-account manager page.

Modifying pricing for yearly increments

If you wanted to adjust domain pricing based on yearly increments for your sub-accounts, that could be done in one, two, five, and 10-year renewals.

Note: The API can be used to set sub-account pricing. Please have a look at the API command catalog for complete documentation.

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. Select Edit domain pricing.
  3.  Select either TLDs (one year) | TLDs (two years) | TLDs (five years) | TLDs (10 years).

Price formula

Sub-retail account prices must use the formula P > = (C + 0.95) / 0.97. P is equal to the sub-retail price, and C is equal to your cost. A 3% +$0.95 fee per transaction is calculated on the transaction total.

For example, when your customer purchases a .COM domain that you have set at $15.95, the formula would break down.

Reseller price$15.95
Remove 3% + $0.95 fee-$1.43
Reseller cost-$13.50
Commission made$1.02

Commission balance

Managing your commission balance can be done directly through your reseller account. There is a 90-day hold on the reseller's commission balance to protect against fraud and chargebacks by the end user/customer. The reseller can then apply the commission to their account balance or request a check.

Note: There is a minimum of $100.00 for a check.
