The account settings page is where you update all account-related details, including your email address, billing information, and account security questions. You can also set up two-factor authentication to add another layer of account security. This article walks you through updating your contact details and billing information, and enabling account validation.
What you manage in account settings
Your account settings hold the contact and billing details Enom uses to reach you and to process payments. These details apply to your Enom account itself. Updating them does not update your domain contacts — that has to be done separately.
Step 1: Update your contact details
Keep your account details current so they reflect the account owner.
- Log in to your account.
- Select My Account, then Account Settings.
- On the account settings page, update your contact details.
Step 2: Update your billing information
Add or update the credit card Enom keeps on file for your account.
- Log in to your account.
- Select My Account, then Account Settings.
- Enter the credit card details exactly as they appear on the card.
Step 3: Enable account validation
Account validation is a free feature that adds a layer of security to prevent unauthorized account access. When enabled, you answer your chosen security questions to verify access.
- Log in to your account.
- Select My Account, then Account Settings.
- Select the Account Validation tab.
- Select Enable.
- Choose your account validation questions, then click Save Changes.
Warning: If you forget the answers to your validation questions, you will need to contact support for assistance.
Next steps
- Add two-factor authentication. Combine validation questions with two-factor authentication for stronger account security.
- Update your domain contacts. Account settings changes do not affect domain records; update domain contacts separately.
